Well done to the CPS Netball Team

On Wednesday 25th April, the finals of the Souths Cambs A team High Fives netball took place. Following their success in the qualifying rounds, Cottenham A team were excited to represent the school at the finals.

After finishing 2nd in their pool during the first round, the team qualified for the second division in the final round and here they drew all of their matches. This meant that they had only lost one game during the entire finals competition.

Out of the initial 60 teams, only 16 made it to the finals and of those 16 high quality teams, Cottenham A team finished in 7th position overall.

All of the children played with energy, determination and skill and demonstrated true sportsmanship throughout; they were a credit to their school community. The team was truly fantastic and we should all be very proud of what they achieved.

Huge thanks go to Lisa Beeson, Sarah Bumpstead, Sarah Bye and Sarah Tyler for their continued dedication to the netball provision at Cottenham Primary School and for all of the time they give up to ensure that we are a school that can take pride in its sporting achievements.

Go team Cottenham!
