Dear Parents and Carers,
Our school, along with a large number of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough schools received an anonymous email earlier today, suggesting that a car would be driven at pupils after school. We immediately contacted the police and have followed their advice about being vigilant and contacting them again on 999 if we identify a specific threat.
Please be assured that the safety of your children remains our paramount concern. I recognise the impact of this information, and that some of you may wish to collect your children earlier than normal this afternoon. This is entirely understandable.
Should you wish to collect your child/children early then, of course, you are welcome to do so.
If you would like your child to be taken home by an adult other than yourself, then you will need to either phone the Office, or email the Office (email@example.com), stating the name of your child, and the name of the adult collecting them.
We have also made the regrettable decision to cancel all after-school clubs today, but we will be going ahead with the 4RR class performance.
I would also like to reassure you that all the children in the school will be looked after to our usual extremely high standards, and that we will not be going into details about the fact that some children may be leaving earlier than normal.
At the end of the school day, all children will need to be collected from their classrooms.
I thank you in advance for your help and support during this challenging situation.
