Coronavirus Update 2

Dear Parents and Carers,

Further to advice received late last night from the Local Authority regarding the need to prevent the spread of the virus, and in particular the risks that Coronavirus poses to people with underlying health conditions, any pupil who was absent from school yesterday is not to attend school until the end of the 14 day isolation period. The only exceptions are those pupils who we already know were absent for appointments and other authorised reasons and those of you who we have already spoken to.

Any pupils who display the common symptoms of Coronavirus during the school day will be sent home immediately.

The new measures introduced by the government last night, and the subsequent advice from the Local Authority, will undoubtedly have a significant impact on the ability of our school to function as normal. To begin to address this, I am meeting with the Senior Leadership Team and governors before school this morning, and I will write to parents and carers later today in order to inform you of any new information.

Now is the time for us all to act with extreme caution, and to accept the responsibility we all have not to take unnecessary risks regarding the spreading of this insidious virus.

Thank you for your continued support.

James Kilsby
